black swan

Today I saw the movie 'Black Swan'. Personally I'm not a great fan of thriller films but this one surprised me, I loved it! It's a film of Daren Aronofsky and I think it will comove the world.

 

This film is about a girl ,Nina, that is a ballerina in a New York City ballet company whose life is completely consumed with dance. She lives with her obsessive former ballerina mother who treats her like a litlle girl. When artistic director Thomas Leroy decides to replace the prima ballerina Beth for the opening production of the season, Swan Lake, Nina is his first choice. But Nina has competition: a new dancer, Lily. Swan Lake requires a dancer who can play both the White Swan and the Black Swan. Nina fits the White Swan perfectly but Lily fits the Black Swan. During the story, Nina tries to achieve the perfection - and like this she starts destroying herself.

This movie is a litle scary, but it shows the complex world of ballerinas who do everything to be perfect.

In this film we see that this perfectionism can take us to a certain 'madness'.

Natalie Portman, who starred this film as Nina, was fantastic, her performances are so convincing and her last dance as black swan is simply amazing! I totally recommend this film...
